The Start of Something New

There’s something really special about the very first senior session of a new year.

It feels like a quiet beginning. A moment to slow down, breathe deeply, and step into what’s ahead with intention. For my first senior session of 2026, I wanted to create more than just a beautiful setting. I wanted to create a space that felt peaceful, meaningful, and rooted in faith.

Every detail was chosen with purpose.

The soft florals brought in a gentle, feminine touch, full of life and color. The Bible, held close and well loved, became the heart of the session. Not just a prop, but a reflection of who she is and what guides her. The graduation tassel, with “2026” catching the light, reminded us that this is a season of becoming. A moment right in between who she has been and who she is stepping into.

We leaned into natural light, letting the golden glow wrap around each scene. There’s something about that warmth that feels honest and calm. It created space for her to simply be. To sit, to reflect, to smile softly, and to embrace this moment without pressure.

One of my favorite parts of this session was the quiet storytelling. The way she held her Bible. The stillness in her posture. The reflection captured in the mirror. These weren’t posed moments in the traditional sense. They were glimpses of who she is at her core.

This is what I love most about senior sessions.

It isn’t just about celebrating a milestone. It’s about honoring the person behind it. Their story, their faith, their growth, and everything that has brought them here.

As I step into a new year of sessions, this one set the tone in the most beautiful way. Soft, intentional, and grounded in something deeper than just photos.

To my 2026 seniors, this is your season. And I am so honored to help you capture it in a way that feels true to you.

With warmth,
